Osei Rubie
Founder & President
Osei Rubie is the founding president of National Standard Abstract (NSA), a Black family-owned title insurance firm that has closed over $3 billion in residential and commercial transactions.
Since launching in 2015, this full-service firm has built a portfolio of affordable, market-rate, and faith-based developments in New York and New Jersey. Rubie, alongside his son and business partner, Nadir continues to defy the norm and the odds. Today, National Standard Abstract is renowned for its excellence in leadership and legacy of service. Rubie, a fifteen-year title insurance expert, has proven that success can be derived from great relationships and resolve for more representation.
From academic readiness to youth sports participation, National Standard Abstract, The Osei Rubie Charitable Fund, and The Rubie Family Scholarship Endowment at Grambling University reflect a tapestry of social missions that share a common goal — closing the opportunity gap.
Capacity building is essential, particularly in marginalized communities. National Standard Abstract allocates some of its real estate transactions to advance Black culture and generational wealth through its philanthropic arm, The Osei Rubie Charitable Fund. More than $250,000 was awarded to nonprofit organizations leveling the playing field for Black youth. Rubie, a father of four, also established The Rubie Family Scholarship Endowment at Grambling University to invest $50,000 in scholarships for students to pursue higher education.
City & State New York later recognized Rubie for two consecutive years as one of its Responsible 100, an annual list of New Yorkers whose work transforms communities and the lives of its citizens. The New York Real Estate Journal named Rubie among their 2020 Ones to Watch Industry Leaders.
With another decade on the horizon, National Standard Abstract has taken a pivotal step towards becoming the premier provider of title insurance while elevating people of African descent.
